Processing of personal data
For us, your personal privacy is very important. In our role as data controller, we are therefore always committed to processing your personal data in a safe and legal manner. This Privacy Policy applies to you as a customer, potential customer or you who otherwise visit our website or take part in our offers and events.
What data do we process and why?
The information we collect about you is mainly provided when you visit our website, order products through our webshop, take part of our events or when you enter your contact information in order to be able to access our news releases. Sometimes we also collect data from third parties, such as payment service providers, in order, for example, to be able to send out an order you ordered and paid through our supplier.
We process your personal data in order to offer you the best possible experience when you visit us at Scottish House – in our physical store or through our website and webshop. We also process your personal data in order to be able to make purchases, send out newsletters or otherwise respond to you as a customer or potential customer when you contact us at Scottish House.
Scottish House therefore uses your personal data for the following purposes:
- Administration and fulfillment of your purchases on our webshop.
- Compliance with legal obligationsr.
- Marketing through, for example, news mailings.
- Planning, implementation and follow-up of events.
- the establishment, defence and exercise of legal claims;
The processing of your personal data is based on either your consent, a contract, due to a legal obligation or based on a balance of interests where we at Scottish House have assessed that our interest in processing your personal data is stronger than your interest in the protection of your personal data. For example, when you give your consent to receive our news releases, the processing is based on consent, while the processing of personal data carried out when you purchase a product in our webshop is based on agreements. Furthermore, Scottish House may have a legal obligation to process data based on requirements in, for example, the Accounting Act and may have a serious interest in processing your personal data in the event of a dispute.
The data that may be processed about you are information such as contact details (e.g. name, email address, postal address and telephone number) and bank details (such as account details).
We only store your personal data for as long as it is necessary in relation to the above-mentioned purposes of the processing.
We may disclose your information to third parties, such as our payment service provider, in order to complete your purchases on our webshop. We never sell your personal data.
Scottish House only processes your personal data within the EU/EEA.
What rights do you have?
You have the right to receive information about what personal data we use about you and what we do with it and to some control over your data. You therefore have the right in some cases to get your data out or to have it corrected, deleted, blocked or moved. You also have the right to object to certain types of use of your data or to withdraw your consent to its use. If you think that we have used your data in an unauthorised way, you also always have the right to complain to the national supervisory authority, the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
